A Warm Welcome ...

to Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin – the three seaside spa resorts on the Island of Usedom which are often collectively referred to as the „3 Imperial Spas“ (Kaiserbäder in German), because the German emperors of the 19th and 20th centuries used to spend their holidays here and because most of the buildings were built during this period. Seventy metres wide, the white beach entices visitors to sit back and relax. Here the soft line of the sea cannot but encounter its best friend, the coastline. A mild wind, sometimes swelling into a storm, stirs the salt of the sea, transforming the air into a breeze of health. Then, for a brief moment, this breeze seems to catch one’s breath. Magnificent buildings of what is known in Germany as „Bäderarchitektur“ (Seaside Resort Architecture) rise impressively, lining streets, paths and Europe’s longest uninterrupted promenade, stretching more than eight kilometres along the coastline. Tracing the times of the German emperors, history combines with contemporary hotels in classical style, promenade piers, and leisure facilities: oases for body and soul. Stay in Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf or Bansin, one of the three spas, the character of which is moulded by their Seaside Resort Architecture facing the waves of the Baltic – the perfect place for a holiday.
