Coming by Car …

From Berlin, leave the Berliner Ring motorway at Autobahndreieck Schwanebeck and follow the A11 motorway until you come to Autobahndreieck Uckermark. Here take the A20 motorway and drive until the Anklam exit. Leave the motorway there and follow the B197 country road to Anklam where you change to the B110 country road.

This takes you to the Island of Usedom, crossing the bridge at Zecherin.


From Hamburg first go to Lübeck where the A20 motorway begins. Follow it as far as the Gützkow exit. Here change to the B111 country road, which takes you to Wolgast.
There you cross the River Peene onto the Island of Usedom. Continue to drive along the B111 country road to Bansin, Heringsdorf, or Ahlbeck. The Peene bridge is raised for a maximum of 30 min. at fixed times, more information at: www.visitusedom.com.

Coming by Plane: …

Ryanair flies from a number of European Cities to the airports of Hamburg-Lübeck, Berlin-Schönefeld and Szczecin (Poland). EasyJet flies to Berlin-Schönefeld and Hamburg. Additionally, Continental Airlines offers daily, non-stop flights between New York and Hamburg. From Lübeck, Berlin, Hamburg, or Stettin you can either continue your journey by train or rent a car. Direct domestic flights to Heringsdorf Aiport on the Island of Usedom are available from Bremen, Dortmund, Cologne, Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich (Switzerland). Coming by Ship: …

You can reach the ferry port of Sassnitz on the Island of Rügen from Trelleborg in Sweden, Rönne on the Danish island of Bornholm, Klaipeda in Lithuania and Baltijsk and St. Petersburg in Russia. Additionally, the ferry port of Rostock can be reached from Gedser in Denmark, Helsinki in Finland, Ventspils in Lettland and Trelleborg in Sweden.
